The Port St. Lucie
Power Squadron is offering free vessel safety checks.
Squadron members
will check each boat's personal flotation devices, lights,
registration and required safety items to verify that they meet
state and federal regulations. Boaters who pass the checks will be
issued a dated inspection decal recognized by the Coast Guard and
Marine Patrol for one year. No record will be kept of failed
inspections, and boaters may request another free inspection when
problems are corrected. Call 871-1018 for information.
